Snake-Eye LED Headlights — BMW 2 Series F22 / F23 & M2 F87 (2014–2021)
Arrow DRL in Place of the Angel Eyes — The Aggressive G-Series Signature on the F22 — Halogen, Xenon & LED to Full LED — White or White / Yellow CSL DRL — Auto-Leveling — LHD & RHD — No Coding

Every F22 headlight BMW ever built — halogen, xenon, LED, Icon — drew its daytime signature as a pair of rings. Round, then hexagonal, but always rings. These headlights abandon them. In their place: two arrow-shaped Snake-Eye daytime running lights, tapered toward the kidney grille, the signature BMW now puts on its newest X5, X6 and M cars. On the low, wide F22 it reads sharper than anything the factory offered — an angry front end rather than a friendly one.
Full LED projectors with the automatic leveling motor built in, and a DRL in fixed white or switchable white / CSL yellow from the high-beam stalk. A complete assembly with every driver and control module pre-installed — a dedicated version for the halogen, xenon and LED harness, for left- and right-hand-drive cars, with no coding. Pre-LCI and LCI share one outline, so no bumper change.
Fits the BMW 2 Series F22 Coupé, F23 Convertible and F87 M2 — including M2 Competition and M2 CS — European and North American cars, 2014–2021. If you'd rather keep BMW's own hexagonal signature, our Icon-style headlights are the OEM-look alternative; this is the one for owners who want the car to look like nothing else in the parking lot.

Rings Out, Arrows In — From Any Starting Point
Whatever your 2 Series left the factory with, the result is the same arrow signature.
Halogen → Snake-Eye LED
Halogen angel eyes to arrow DRL
The base-trim reflectors, H7 bulbs and bulb-lit rings replaced by full-LED projectors and the arrow DRL. The largest visual jump available on an F22 — plugs into the halogen harness, no relays, no coding.
Xenon → Snake-Eye LED
Xenon replacement without the ballast bill
Trades the corona-ring xenon units — standard or adaptive — for a full-LED assembly before the next ballast, burner or igniter fails. One xenon version covers both; adaptive cars plug in and work.
LCI LED → Snake-Eye LED
Beyond the facelift look
The LCI LED headlight is the finish line for most F22 upgrades. This goes past it: the hexagons replaced by the arrow DRL, plus the switchable yellow BMW never offered on any 2 Series.
M2 → Snake-Eye LED
M2, M2 Competition & CS
Same housing, same harness options as the 2 Series. An M2 on Snake-Eyes carries the front-end attitude of the current M cars without a G87 conversion — and on a track day, yellow DRL is the right kind of signal.
Step 1 — Select Your Factory Headlights
We build a dedicated version for each factory harness. Match the headlights currently on your car.
Halogen
Pre-LCI 2014–2017. Round rings, reflector bowls, replaceable H7 bulbs. Base trims. Plug-and-play, no coding.
How to tell what you haveRound rings with a visible bulb behind a reflector mean halogen. Round rings with clear projector lenses mean xenon — whether the beams swivel (adaptive, option 524) or not (option 522), both take the xenon version. Hexagonal rings mean LCI LED. Our headlight identification guide covers the option codes, or send us your VIN.
Adaptive xenon (AFS) — works, with one possible footnoteAdaptive-xenon cars plug in and light up fully. Because these LED projectors are fixed, the car's adaptive-light module may in some cases show an adaptive-headlight warning once it notices the missing swivel motors. If yours does, a one-time coding step disables that check — routine for any BMW-familiar workshop or anyone with a coding cable. Lighting works with or without it.
LCI Adaptive LED (552)The adaptive LED harness isn't in the standard version list. If your facelift car has Adaptive LED — beams that swivel, option 552 on the vehicle order — send us your VIN first and we'll confirm what's possible.

Step 2 — Select Left- or Right-Hand Drive
The low-beam cut-off is shaped for the side of the road you drive on. Select by the steering-wheel position of your car — a LHD import registered in the UK still takes LHD.
LHD — Left-Hand Drive
Steering wheel on the left. Mainland Europe, North America and most other markets.
RHD — Right-Hand Drive
Steering wheel on the right. UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Africa.
Step 3 — Choose Your DRL
Same arrow signature, same projectors. The difference is whether you can switch the DRL color.
White
The arrow signature, in white.
Fixed white DRL (~6,000K). Modern, cold and sharp — the way the current G-series cars wear it.
White + Yellow
The CSL signature, on demand.
Flash the high beams 6× for CSL Yellow (~3,000K), 5× to return to White. Ships in White; the headlight remembers your choice through ignition cycles.
DRL Color Switching — White + Yellow Version
From the driver's seat with the high-beam stalk — no app, no remote, no switch in the engine bay. The headlight remembers your selection through ignition cycles.
Switch to Yellow: flash high beams 6×
Switch back to White: flash high beams 5×
Engineered to Stay on the Car
Halogen, Xenon & LED — Plug In and Drive
A dedicated version for each factory harness, each speaking the F22's network the way the original headlight does — in European and North American spec, left- or right-hand drive. No bulb-out warning, no CAN-bus decoders spliced into the loom, no coding on halogen, bi-xenon or LED cars.
The Arrow DRL — No Rings, No Precedent
Two tapered arrows in place of the rings every F22 was born with — the signature from BMW's newest X5, X6 and M models, which never reached the 2 Series. Nothing else on an F22 reads this aggressive in daylight, and it's recognisable as a BMW cue rather than an aftermarket one.
Auto-Leveling Retained
An integrated leveling motor adjusts beam height with vehicle load, exactly as your factory units did. Two up with a trunk full of luggage or solo on an empty tank: the beam stays where it should.
Ships Complete — Nothing to Transfer
Every LED driver, DRL board, control module and the leveling motor are inside the housing. No ballasts, igniters, bulbs or modules to move over — your factory headlights come off intact, ready for a lease return or resale.
Full LED Projectors — Instant-On
Low beam, high beam, DRL and indicators are all LED, with full output the moment they switch on — no xenon warm-up, no slow halogen glow. On adaptive-xenon cars the factory beam swivel is replaced by a fixed, wide beam pattern.
Coupé, Convertible & M2 — One Outline
BMW kept the F22's headlight outline through the 2017 facelift and across the Coupé, Convertible and M2. One housing mounts on the factory points of all of them, pre-LCI or LCI — no bumper work, no trim adapters.
2-Year Warranty
ABS housings with PMMA lenses, sealed against moisture at every joint. Every pair is bench-tested before shipping and covered for two years from delivery.
Installation
A headlight swap requiring front bumper removal — standard on the F22. No wiring modifications, no coding. Allow 1.5–3 hours depending on experience; a shop will quote around two hours.
- Remove the front bumper: the screws along the top edge under the hood, inside the wheel arches and along the lower edge. Disconnect the fog light and sensor connections before pulling the bumper forward.
- Unbolt the factory headlights and disconnect the main harness plug.
- Plug the new headlight into your factory harness — the version you selected matches the connector on the car.
- Test before reassembly — low beam, high beam, DRL, indicators, the 6×/5× color switch on the dual-color version, and the leveling sweep when you switch the ignition on.
- Reinstall the bumper and set the baseline beam height with the adjusters — our headlight aiming guide covers the procedure. The auto-leveling works from that baseline.

Frequently Asked Questions
The name owners gave BMW's arrow-shaped daytime running light — two tapered elements pointing toward the grille, replacing the traditional rings. BMW introduced it on its newest X5, X6 and M models; these bring the same signature to the F22, which never had it from the factory.
Icon-style keeps BMW's own hexagonal rings — the OEM facelift look, the one that passes unnoticed. Snake-Eye replaces the rings with the arrow DRL: sharper, more aggressive, and unmistakably not what the car came with. Both are full LED, both plug into the same harnesses, both offer the CSL yellow. Our Icon-style listing covers the OEM look.
Yes. The F22 Coupé, F23 Convertible and F87 M2 — including M2 Competition and M2 CS — share the same headlight outline, mounting points and harness architecture. Select the version that matches the headlights your car has today.
Yes. The halogen version is built for the halogen harness — no relays, no CAN-bus decoders, no bulb-out warning, no coding. It replaces the reflector units with full-LED projectors and the arrow DRL.
Usually not. The xenon version covers adaptive xenon and the lights work fully as soon as they're plugged in. Because the LED projectors are fixed, some cars show an adaptive-headlight warning once the module notices the missing swivel motors; if yours does, a one-time coding step silences it. Standard bi-xenon cars never need it.
The Adaptive LED harness isn't in the standard version list — send us your VIN first and we'll confirm what's possible. The standard LCI LED headlight (hexagonal rings, no swivel) takes the LED version directly.
No. The F22's headlight outline didn't change at the facelift; the housing mounts on the pre-LCI and LCI bumper alike. The swap is the headlights alone.
No. The halogen, xenon and LED versions cover European and North American cars alike — select by factory headlight and steering side only.
Select RHD at checkout. The beam pattern is built for the drive side, so a UK, Irish or Australian car takes the RHD version; a LHD import registered in a RHD country takes LHD, matching the car's original build.
On the dual-color version, from the driver's seat: flash the high beams 6× for CSL Yellow, 5× to return to White. The headlight remembers your selection through ignition cycles. The White version has a fixed DRL.
Yes. The leveling motor is integrated and adjusts beam height with load — the same behavior as the factory headlights. You set the baseline once with the adjusters; the car handles the rest.
Nothing. LED drivers, DRL boards, control modules and the leveling motor are all inside the new housing. Your factory headlights stay fully intact.
No. The F44 Gran Coupé, F45 / F46 Active and Gran Tourer and the G42 / G87 generation are different platforms with different headlights. This set is for the rear-wheel-drive F22 Coupé, F23 Convertible and F87 M2 only.
Yes, if you're comfortable removing the front bumper on the F22. Standard hand tools, 1.5–3 hours, no lift required. Beam aiming afterwards takes a few minutes with the adjusters.
