Both versions share the same OEM-style LED housing. The only difference is whether the DRL is fixed white or switchable.
White
Factory-correct.

The integrated auto-leveling motor adjusts beam height based on vehicle load over the factory CAN-bus — no manual adjustment needed when load changes.
Auto High Beam Assist Compatible
If your LCI F20/F21 is equipped with Auto High Beam Assist (AHBA), it works as normal. The high beam LED module communicates over the factory harness the same way the original halogen unit does — no recoding required.

Installation
A straightforward headlight swap requiring front bumper removal — standard on the F20 platform. No wiring modifications, no coding. Allow 2–3 hours.
- Remove the front bumper to access the headlight mounting bolts.
- Unbolt the factory halogen headlights and disconnect the main harness plug.
- Plug the new headlight into your factory harness.
- Test before reassembly — verify low beam, high beam, DRL, indicators, startup animation, and DRL switching (dual-color version: 6× yellow / 5× white).
- Reinstall the bumper, align beam height using the integrated adjusters.
