The F22 LCI headlight introduced one of BMW's most distinctive DRL shapes — the angular 3/4-style etched rings that gave the 2 Series and M2 an edge that still holds up. These modules let you switch it to CSL yellow from the high-beam stalk in under two seconds, plus strobe, breathing, and an automatic mode tied to your low beams. White is calibrated to match your factory DRL color temperature; the car looks stock at a glance.

One module fits both LCI LED headlight types — Adaptive and Standard. The DRL shape is the same angular 3/4-style etched ring on both. The difference is beam behavior: Adaptive headlights swivel with steering, Standard don't. Either way, the DRL module is identical. This does not fit pre-LCI (2014–2017) xenon or LED headlights.

Set it and forget the toggle. The DRL follows your low beams automatically: Yellow when low beams are off, White when they come on. Most competitor modules only offer manual toggling.

A left-right progressive strobe in your current DRL color. Flash 7× again to switch the strobe to the other color. A show mode, not for road use.

11×Ambient Breathing
A slow, subtle pulse where the DRL dims in and out. Best used while parked or at idle — not intended for driving.

Installation
Access to the DRL modules on the F22 LCI typically requires removing the wheel arch liner or partially releasing the front bumper. Some owners manage to reach the modules by turning the wheels outward and pulling back the fender liner for access — no full bumper removal needed in most cases. The M2 and M2 Competition may have slightly tighter clearance depending on the front aero setup.
Once you have access: the factory DRL module is secured with T20 Torx screws. Back them out, unplug the connector, plug the Eleron module in, secure with the original screws. Test both White and Yellow DRL before reassembling. Allow 30–60 minutes for the full swap.
Tools: T20 Torx bit, trim removal tool, jack and stands if going the wheel/liner route.
