These are designed for European and UK-market Golf Mk6 hatchbacks (left- and right-hand drive). They are not compatible with US / North American-spec (NAR) vehicles, which use a different tail light configuration and rear wiring. They also do not fit the Golf Cabriolet (Convertible).
This is a complete 4-piece set: two outer units mounted on the rear quarter panels, and two inner units mounted on the tailgate. Everything needed for the full conversion is included.

Complete 4-Piece Set — No Coding
Both outer (rear quarter) and inner (tailgate) units are included — the full set, not a partial upgrade. The outer units plug straight into your factory sockets. The inner tailgate units connect via the included adapter harness, which routes a feed across the tailgate to power their sequential turn signals. No coding, no soldering.
Mk8 Modern Rear Signature
The horizontal light-bar graphic and full-LED layout replicate the current-generation Golf Mk8 — the newest rear-end design language VW has produced. It's the single biggest visual update you can make to the back of a Mk6.
Sequential Sweeping Turn Signals
The indicators animate in sequence, flowing outward across the light — a dynamic turn signal on a car that never came with one. All four units signal once the inner adapter harness is connected.
Dynamic Startup Animation
When you lock or unlock the car, a choreographed LED sequence sweeps across all four lights — a welcome-and-goodbye animation that brings the rear to life. During driving, the lights function as standard running, brake, reverse, and fog lights.
Sealed Construction
ABS housings with PMMA lenses, sealed against moisture. A weatherproof pad seats behind each unit during installation — seat it fully to keep the housings dry over years of use.

Every set is bench-tested before shipping. Two years of coverage from delivery date.
Installation
No bumper removal. The outer units are a direct swap; the inner tailgate units require routing the included adapter harness behind the trim to power their turn signals. Allow around 1.5–2 hours for the full set.
- Open the tailgate and remove the trunk-side trim panels to access the outer tail lights.
- Unbolt the outer units, disconnect the factory plugs, and fit the new outer units. At this stage the outer lights are fully functional.
- Fit the new inner (tailgate) units in place of the factory inner lights.
- Route the adapter harness from the outer units, up the C-pillar and across the tailgate grommet, to the inner units. This feeds power to the inner turn signals so all four units signal in sequence.
- Test before reassembly — verify running lights, brake, reverse, rear fog, and sequential indicators on all four units.
- Seat the weatherproof pads, reinstall the trim panels.
Tip: the outer units alone will run turn signals if you skip the harness routing, but connecting it enables the full four-light sequential effect.
