GTI-Style Full LED Headlights — VW Golf Mk7 & Mk7.5
Mk7.5 Facelift Design with Bi-LED Projectors & Sequential Amber Indicators — Halogen & Xenon — 2012–2021
VW Golf Mk7 • Mk7.5 • GTI • Golf R • GTE • Hatchback • Wagon/Variant • 2012–2021
The Mk7.5 facelift headlight is the one VW should have put on every Golf from the start — the dual-L DRL signature, the sharpened projector housing, the presence that makes a Golf look like it was designed rather than assembled. These headlights bring that exact design to both generations: Mk7 owners get the facelift look on their existing bumper, Mk7.5 owners get a premium replacement that exceeds what VW offered from the factory.
Full Bi-LED projectors, sequential sweeping amber indicators, and your choice of Silver or Red accent lines. Halogen cars are fully plug-and-play. Xenon cars require one simple VCDS coding step — change headlight type in the central electronics module, a routine 5-minute job at any VAG workshop.
E-Marked (ECE) & DOT/SAE — road-legal. Includes integrated auto-leveling.
Step 1 — Mk7 or Mk7.5?
The Mk7 and Mk7.5 have different bumper shapes. We manufacture a dedicated housing for each — select the generation that matches your car.
Mk7
2012–2017
Pre-facelift bumper. You get the Mk7.5 GTI light design in a housing shaped for your existing bumper.
Mk7.5
2017–2021
Facelift bumper. Direct-fit replacement that upgrades your factory halogen or xenon units to full LED.
Step 2 — LHD or RHD?
Headlight beam patterns are regulated by drive side. Select based on your car's steering position — not where the car is currently located.
LHD (Left-Hand Drive)
Continental Europe, US, most of the world. Beam pattern dips to the right.
RHD (Right-Hand Drive)
UK, Australia, Japan. Beam pattern dips to the left.
Imported a LHD car to a RHD country? Select LHD — the beam pattern must match the car's original build.
Step 3 — Halogen or Xenon?
We manufacture a dedicated version for each factory harness type.
Xenon owners — one simple coding step.
After installing, you'll need to change the headlight type in the central electronics module via VCDS (or similar VAG diagnostic tool). This is a routine parameter change — about 5 minutes at any VAG-familiar workshop. It tells the car's computer that the new headlights are LED instead of xenon, which clears any diagnostic mismatch. No complex long-coding, no multi-module work.
Step 4 — Choose Your Accent
Same headlight, same optics. The inner accent line is the only difference.

Engineered to Stay on the Car
Mk7 & Mk7.5 — Halogen & Xenon
We manufacture dedicated versions for every Golf VII configuration — Mk7 and Mk7.5 bumper shapes, LHD and RHD beam patterns, halogen and xenon harnesses. Halogen cars are fully plug-and-play. Xenon cars (including AFS-equipped GTI, Golf R, and GTE) require one simple VCDS coding step after installation.
Ships Complete — Nothing to Transfer
Every assembly includes all LED drivers and control electronics pre-installed. No xenon ballasts to move, no bulbs to source. Your factory headlights stay intact.
Sequential Amber Indicators
Smooth sweeping amber turn signals flow across the full width of each headlight — replacing the factory's static indicators with a dynamic pattern that matches the Mk7.5 GTI's signature lighting behavior.
Bi-LED Projectors with Auto-Leveling
High-output Bi-LED projectors handle low and high beam with a sharp cutoff line and wide, even coverage. The integrated auto-leveling motor adjusts beam height based on vehicle load.
E-Marked (ECE) & DOT/SAE
Every unit carries both ECE and DOT/SAE certification. Road-legal for TÜV, MOT, EU periodic inspections, and US state inspections.
2-Year Warranty
ABS housings with sealed construction, bench-tested before shipping. Two years of coverage from delivery date.
Installation
A straightforward headlight swap requiring front bumper removal. Allow 2–3 hours.
- Remove the front bumper to access the headlight mounting points.
- Unbolt the factory headlights and disconnect the main harness plug.
- Plug the new headlight into your factory harness.
- Xenon cars only: Change the headlight type in the central electronics module via VCDS (one parameter, ~5 minutes).
- Test before reassembly — verify low beam, high beam, DRL, sequential indicators.
- Reinstall the bumper, align beam height using the integrated adjusters.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Select the Mk7 version — you get the Mk7.5 GTI light design (dual-L DRL, sequential indicators) in a housing shaped for your pre-facelift bumper.
Yes. Both Hatchback and Wagon share identical headlight mounting points and connectors. Just select the correct Mk7 or Mk7.5 generation.
It's one parameter change in the central electronics module via VCDS (or a compatible VAG diagnostic tool). Any VAG-familiar workshop can do it in about 5 minutes. It tells the car's computer the headlights are now LED instead of xenon — no long-coding, no multi-module work.
Not after the VCDS coding step. The same single parameter change that switches the headlight type also handles the AFS transition. The physical AFS swiveling is replaced by a fixed, wide-angle Bi-LED beam pattern.
No. Halogen cars are fully plug-and-play — install, test, drive.
The inner accent strip. Same housing, same optics, same projectors. Silver matches the Golf R and high-trim aesthetic. Red matches the GTI's signature grille trim. Purely a style choice.
Nothing. Every component is pre-installed — LED drivers, projector modules, DRL electronics, leveling motor.
Yes, if you're comfortable with bumper removal on the Golf platform. Standard hand tools, about 2–3 hours. Xenon owners will need access to VCDS for the coding step.
