Smoked Arrow-DRL LED Headlights — BMW E92/E93 Coupe & M3
Blacked-Out Housing with Arrow-DRL — Non-Adaptive & Adaptive (AFS) — LCI 2010–2013
BMW E92 Coupe • E93 Convertible • E92 M3 • LCI • 2010–2013
The aggressive option for the E92 LCI. Every surface inside these housings is blacked out — reflectors, bezels, backing plates — creating a seamless, darkened look that lets the sharp Arrow-DRL strip and Bi-LED projectors define the entire front end. Nothing else is visible through the lens.
This is a complete xenon-to-LED conversion. No ballasts to carry over, no D1S bulbs to source. Every LED driver and control module comes pre-installed. Built with dedicated versions for both non-adaptive and adaptive (AFS) wiring. Integrated auto-leveling motor included. If your LCI has High Beam Assist (5AC), it continues to work — no changes needed. Select your factory headlight type and DRL configuration at checkout — both fully plug-and-play with zero coding.
Does your E92 have Adaptive (AFS) headlights?
Look through the lens of your current headlight housing. Non-adaptive headlights have one projector and one reflector bowl side by side. Adaptive (AFS) headlights have two projectors. You can also check by turning the steering wheel with the engine running and headlights on — if the beams swivel with the wheel, you have AFS.
Either way, you're covered. We manufacture a dedicated version for each harness. Both are plug-and-play with no coding required.
Step 1 — Select Your Factory Headlight Type
The internal electronics are configured specifically for your harness. Select the version that matches your current headlights.

Step 2 — Choose Your DRL Configuration
Two DRL configurations on the same smoked Arrow-DRL housing platform. Pick by color count and intended use.
White
The clean blacked-out look.
Fixed white DRL in the Arrow-DRL shape against the smoked housing. Clean and aggressive without multi-color switching.
White + Yellow
The motorsport signature.
Toggle between White and Selective Yellow (3000K) using the high-beam lever. Flash 6× for Yellow, 5× for White. Retains your selection through ignition cycles.
The show and track choice.
DRL Color Switching — No App Required
Applies to the White + Yellow version only. The White-only version has a fixed DRL.
Toggle the DRL between White (~6,000K) and Yellow (~3,000K) using your high-beam lever. The headlight retains your selection through ignition cycles. No phone, no app, no external switch.
Switch to Yellow: Flash high beams 6 times in quick succession.
Switch back to White: Flash high beams 5 times in quick succession.
How These Are Built
Two Xenon Variants — One Correct Fit
Most aftermarket E92 headlights exclude adaptive cars entirely or require NCSExpert / BimmerCode to suppress the AFS dashboard fault. The E92 LCI CAN-bus carries distinct diagnostic expectations for standard xenon and adaptive bi-xenon (AFS) — we manufacture a dedicated version for each, with the correct internal electronics built in. The car sees what it expects to see. No coding on either version.
Ships Complete — Nothing to Transfer
Every assembly includes all LED drivers and control electronics pre-installed. No xenon ballasts to move, no D1S bulbs to source, no ignitors to carry over. Your factory headlights stay intact.
Bi-LED Projectors with Auto-Leveling
A single Bi-LED projector handles both low and high beam — sharp cutoff line on low, full output on high, instant-on with no warm-up delay. The integrated auto-leveling motor adjusts beam height based on vehicle load, controlled through the same circuit your factory xenon setup used.
Sealed Against Water Intrusion
Water intrusion into the headlight housing is one of the E92 platform's most expensive problems — particularly on AFS cars, where moisture shorts out the adaptive module and stepper motor. These assemblies use ABS housings with PMMA lenses, sealed at every joint and bench-tested before shipping.
High Beam Assist (5AC) Compatible
High Beam Assist was available as an option on LCI E92 xenon cars — both non-adaptive and AFS. If your car has it, the camera system continues to detect traffic and toggle the high beam circuit through the same signal path. Nothing changes on the car's end.
Smoked Treatment — Clear Lens
The blacked-out interior is purely aesthetic. The smoked finish is applied to the internal reflectors and bezels behind a clear PMMA lens — not to the lens itself. Light output and beam pattern are unaffected. What changes is everything you see through the housing when the lights are off.
Installation
A straightforward headlight swap requiring front bumper removal — standard on the E92 platform. No wiring modifications, no coding on either version. Allow 2–3 hours.
- Remove the front bumper to access the headlight mounting bolts.
- Unbolt the factory headlights and disconnect the main harness plug.
- Plug the new headlight into your factory harness.
- Test before reassembly — verify low beam, high beam, DRL, indicators, and (on the dual-color version) DRL color switching (6× yellow / 5× white).
- Reinstall the bumper, align beam height using the integrated adjusters.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. The E92 M3 shares the same headlight mounting points and harness as the standard E92 Coupe. Select the non-adaptive or adaptive version to match your M3's factory setup.
Yes. The E92 Coupe and E93 Convertible share identical headlight geometry and connectors.
No. This smoked design is engineered specifically for the LCI (2010–2013) housing shape and harness. For Pre-LCI cars, see our Twin Projector or Angel Eyes Halo headlights — both cover the full 2007–2013 range.
No. We manufacture a dedicated AFS-compatible version with internal electronics configured to satisfy the E92's CAN-bus diagnostic checks. No NCSExpert, no BimmerCode, no dealer visit. The physical AFS swiveling is replaced by a fixed, wide-angle Bi-LED beam pattern — the car will not flag any faults.
Yes. High Beam Assist was an optional fitment on LCI E92 xenon cars — non-adaptive and AFS alike. If your car has it, the camera system continues to control the high beam circuit through the same signal path. Nothing changes on the car's end.
Both versions share the same smoked Arrow-DRL housing, same Bi-LED projectors, same fitment, and the same plug-and-play installation. The White version has a fixed white DRL — clean and aggressive. The White+Yellow version adds switchable color: flash the high beams 6× for Yellow, 5× for White. The White+Yellow is the show and track choice.
No. The blacked-out finish is applied to the internal reflectors and bezels behind a clear PMMA lens — not to the lens itself. The Bi-LED projector optics and Arrow-DRL strip are unaffected.
This is one of the most common reasons E92 owners upgrade. Factory adaptive headlights are prone to water intrusion that shorts out the AFS control module, and stepper motor failures that trigger a persistent dashboard warning. These assemblies eliminate the AFS failure points entirely while giving you a significant visual upgrade.
Nothing. Every component is pre-installed — LED drivers, Bi-LED projector modules, leveling motor. Your factory xenon units stay fully intact.
We offer three distinct styles for the E92 platform. This Arrow-DRL design is the aggressive option — a blacked-out housing with a sharp Arrow-DRL strip that gives the E92 a darker, more performance-oriented presence. The Twin Projector headlights are the most modern option with a clean light-bar DRL. The Angel Eyes Halo headlights are an OEM+ approach that preserves the classic BMW ring identity. All three share the same plug-and-play engineering and AFS compatibility.
