The Arrow-DRL is the lighting signature BMW developed for the M4 and 4 Series — the sharp, angular strip that replaced the corona ring on the latest G-chassis cars. On the pre-LCI F20, it does something specific: it takes the car's already-aggressive hatchback proportions and gives them a front end that matches. Where the factory halogen or xenon headlights always fell short of the body's intent, the Arrow-DRL completes it.
This is a complete halogen-to-LED or xenon-to-LED conversion. Full LED projectors, switchable White/Yellow DRL, and a startup animation that plays when you unlock the car. Every LED driver and control module comes pre-installed. Just confirm halogen or xenon at checkout — we handle the rest, including adaptive AHL/AFS compatibility.

That's the only decision. We manufacture a dedicated version for each harness type. If you have adaptive AHL or AFS xenon, the standard xenon version covers you.

DRL Color Switching
Flash your high beams 5 times in quick succession to toggle the Arrow-DRL between White and Yellow. The headlight retains your selection through ignition cycles.
White DRL is the E-Marked road-legal mode. Yellow is switchable for personal use — White mode should be active for inspections.

Startup Animation
When you unlock or start the car, a brief sweeping LED sequence plays through the Arrow-DRL strip. During normal driving, the DRL operates as a steady strip in your selected color.
Installation
A straightforward headlight swap requiring front bumper removal — standard on the F20 platform. No wiring modifications, no coding. Allow 2–3 hours.
- Remove the front bumper to access the headlight mounting bolts.
- Unbolt the factory headlights and disconnect the main harness plug.
- Plug the new headlight into your factory harness.
- Test before reassembly — verify low beam, high beam, DRL color, indicators, startup animation, and DRL switching (5× flash).
- Reinstall the bumper, align beam height using the integrated adjusters.
