Modern 2020+ Style Full LED Headlights — Audi A3 / S3 / RS3 (8V.5 Facelift)

Dual LED Projectors with Sequential Turn Signals & Startup Animation — Xenon & LED Models — 2016–2020

Audi A3 • S3 • RS3 • 8V.5 Facelift • Sportback • Sedan • Cabriolet • 2016–2020

Your 8V.5 already has the facelift bumper and updated taillights — but the front end still carries the previous-generation DRL shape. These Full LED assemblies close that gap with the modern, segmented DRL architecture found on the 2020+ A3 (8Y), dual LED projectors, sequential sweeping indicators, and an optional startup animation. Every driver and control module comes pre-installed. No coding required — plug into your factory xenon or LED harness and drive.

E-Marked (ECE) — road-legal in White DRL mode. Includes integrated auto-leveling.

Does your car have AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System)?

AFS headlights physically swivel left and right to follow your steering input while driving at night. The easiest way to check: turn your steering wheel with the engine running and the headlights on — if the beams move with the wheel, you have AFS.

Non-AFS xenon or non-AFS LED: These headlights are a direct fit. Plug-and-play, no coding.

AFS-equipped vehicles: Not compatible. AFS models use a different harness configuration and internal architecture. If you're unsure, send us your VIN and we'll check for you.

Step 1 — Select Your Factory Harness

We manufacture a dedicated version for each factory wiring type. The internal electronics are configured for your specific harness.

Factory LED (Non-AFS)

2016–2020
Upgrade from the standard facelift LED DRL shape to the modern 2020+ design with sequential signals. No coding required.

How These Are Built

No Coding Required

On the 8V.5 platform, aftermarket headlight upgrades often require VCDS adaptations in the central electronics module to clear bulb outage warnings or configure new light functions. We configured the internal electronics to communicate correctly with the factory BCM on both xenon and LED harnesses out of the box. No VCDS, no OBDeleven, no workshop visit for the electrical side.

Ships Complete — Nothing to Transfer

Every assembly includes all LED drivers, projector modules, and DRL electronics pre-installed and configured. No ballasts to move from your old headlights, no bulbs to source. Your factory units stay intact.

Sequential Turn Signals

The DRL strip doubles as a sweeping sequential indicator — amber flows smoothly across the full width of the headlight when signaling, then reverts to white. The same integrated switchback concept found on Audi's current production models.

Dual LED Projectors with Auto-Leveling

Two high-output LED projectors per side handle low and high beam with a sharp cutoff line and wide coverage. The integrated auto-leveling motor adjusts beam height based on vehicle load — the same system your factory headlights use.

E-Marked (ECE)

Every unit carries ECE certification covering the full assembly — housing, projector optics, and beam pattern. Road-legal in White DRL mode for TÜV, MOT, and EU periodic inspections.

2-Year Warranty

ABS housing with PMMA lenses, sealed against moisture at every joint. Every pair is bench-tested before shipping. Two years of coverage from delivery date.

Startup Animation

When you unlock or start the car, a brief sweeping LED sequence plays through the DRL strip — a welcome effect similar to what Audi uses on its current models. During normal driving, the DRL operates as a steady white strip. The startup animation can be disabled entirely if you prefer a strictly factory appearance.

Installation

A straightforward headlight swap requiring front bumper removal — standard on the 8V platform. No wiring modifications, no coding. Allow 2–3 hours.

  1. Remove the front bumper: undo the top fasteners, the Torx screws inside the wheel arches, and the undertray clips. Disconnect any fog light or sensor connectors before pulling the bumper forward.
  2. Unbolt the factory headlights and disconnect the main harness plug.
  3. Plug the new headlight into your factory harness.
  4. Test before reassembly — verify low beam, high beam, DRL, sequential indicators, and startup animation.
  5. Reinstall the bumper, align beam height using the integrated adjusters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this fit the S3 and RS3?

Yes. The A3, S3, and RS3 8V.5 facelift (2016–2020) share the same headlight mounting points and harness across all body styles — Sportback, Sedan, and Cabriolet.

My car has AFS (adaptive headlights that swivel). Will these fit?

No. AFS-equipped models use a different harness and internal architecture. These headlights are designed for non-AFS xenon and non-AFS LED models only. If you're unsure whether your car has AFS, turn the steering wheel with the headlights on — if the beams physically move with the wheel, you have AFS.

Is any coding or VCDS work required?

No. The internal electronics are pre-configured to communicate with the 8V.5's central electronics module on both xenon and LED harnesses. No VCDS, no OBDeleven, no adaptations. Plug in and everything works.

Can I disable the startup animation?

Yes. The welcome sequence is optional and can be turned off. During normal driving, the DRL is always a steady white strip regardless of this setting.

I currently have factory LED headlights. Why upgrade?

The factory 8V.5 LED headlights use the previous-generation DRL shape. These assemblies replace it with the modern, segmented design from the 2020+ A3, add sequential sweeping indicators, and include dual LED projectors — a meaningful step forward in both aesthetics and light output.

Does the auto-leveling function work?

Yes. The integrated leveling motor adjusts beam height based on vehicle load — the same auto-leveling behavior as your factory headlights.

Do I need to transfer anything from my old headlights?

Nothing. Every module, driver, and leveling motor is pre-installed. Your factory headlights stay fully intact.
